    Hey guys,

Been a member since even before my alienware 18 arrived in the mail. Thank god because problems and more problems with it when i was using it a lot. I just repasted so I'm messing around just you know backing up my 4k movies etc. lol. I'm surprised to see that my 780MSLI has really held up over these past few years. I can say I'm very happy with the upgrade at the time grabbing them. Once i flashed them with the custom bios we all donated for they pretty much kicked ass.

Two of my alienware 18's went on fire. One completely engulfed and went up a wall luckily im a police officer and was showing off battlefield in the lunch room in front of 8 other officers and we put the fire out but if it was at home it could have probably taken the house down. thats how fast it went up because flames were blowing out the rear of the laptop. anyway the sent me a third alienware 18. this one the lights on the keyboard didn't work. they sent a repair guy, he changed the whole keyboard and then the lights worked. Needless to say after my repaste i must have missed a wire because all my lights are working except the keys from the tab button to the number key pad. If anyone knows where that wire is , id appreciate it, id open it up if i knew where it was.

**Heres my problem that has been here since the day i got my non exploding alienware 18. NO apple device, we are talking a 2 ipods from 5 years ago, a iphone 5, 6, 6s, 6s Plus and a new 7 PLus , as well as a a ipad 2 works with my laptop. starting with windows 7 and now 10 with mulitple reinstalls , as well as apple software changes. when i plug it in to any usb port it beeps device found, then device detatched, over and over and over, non stop every other second. I dealt with it because yhou can backup with the cloud. now two external hard drives are doing the same thing. (meanwhile nothign is plugged in other then a mouse and printer neither givs that issue).

does anyone out ther e know what the issue is? Dell connected to my computer, they seem clueless about computers. Apple connected remotely to my computer and he was knowledgable and he had no idea.

Is there something on the motherboard that controls all the usb ports? youtube is full of videos with my same issue and no solutions. I wish someone would give me $1500 for this and ill take it and build me a desktop.
