    I was thinking of upgrading my iPhone then I decided against, and I didn't want to buy a new PC so I bought a new Titan X (pascal). I just replaced the GTX 970 I was using and away I went. I figured I post some pics of my results. So here goes:

    These are just base setting, without any overclocking. Of course I'm not getting the full use of he card with the EGPU setup, but from what I'm getting its pretty good.

    What's your clock like under load? Most desktop Titan XP users are getting above 2.0 GHz FYI.

    How the heck are you using a titan x pascal with your AW18? I thought 980m was the highest possible.

    Apologies for the pics, I don't know what happened to them. My clocks under load are

    Core Clock 1835Mhz,
    Memory is 5005Mhz

    I'm playing Quantum Leap. I know i'm not at the peak like the guys using a desk top, and I'm losing some function, but everything is running smooth on ultra for all my games. I probably could get more out of it if I OC'd my CPU, and GPU. It's one of those situations where I had a chance to get the card and Merry Xmas to me :cool:

    @tharok2 I'm running a EGPU setup.

    Is removing the wi-fi card necessary to get e-GPU working? What model exactly, M18xR2 or AW18?

    E-GPU is a fantastic option for those with both a desktop and DTR. If something in my PC fails, as long as it isn't the GPU, I could simply transplant that over to my M18x R2 while at home and just run 980M when I'm away from home.

    @vulcan78 I have an AW18, and yes the wifi card had to be removed for the EGPU to work. The M18x R2 has an express card slot and it makes setting up an EGPU so much easier. Since you say you have the M18x R2, you can use the express card version. However, I don't know if it will work with your GPU still in your PC. I had to remove both my GPUs to get the EGPU to be recognized. Then again when I set up my kids EGPU with an old Toshiba Qosimo that had a soldered 460 card the express card version worked great.

    460M in toshiba Qosmio is removable card but it's on proper MXM. It has factory defect though.

    Thanks for the reply, youre saying E-GPU for M18x R2 is a reality via Express Card slot but only if one has all of the discrete GPU's removed?

    I'm saying using the express card slot makes it much easier to set up an EGPU (no opening up the PC). I don't know if YOU have to remove your internal cards to make it work, since I don't have a M18x R2 machine. I'm just saying that I had to remove MINE to get it to work.
