    Hey all,

I have an M18x R2 with two 670M Nvidia GPUs (SLI enabled) that has been experiencing black screen problems when gaming. Screen goes black and I either hear audio stutter repeated or an error sound and regular audio from whatever I was playing. Temps pretty regularly hit 80, but I don't think that should be hot enough to shut down the computer.

I'm not really sure how to interpret this information and have looked at other threads for what seems like similar issues. I expect there's an issue with my GPUs or PSU but have no idea how to tell if that is the case.

Any advice would be appreciated. The shutdowns are really consistent when playing anything graphically intensive, with most shutdowns coming within ten minutes. If I survive more than ten minutes I can generally play for a couple hours, which is strange.

Have you tried reinstalling or updating GPU drivers?

Yeah, I have. I've also opened up the computer and tried my best to clean dust off the fans. I have the latest drivers now after reinstalling drivers.

I think those temps are on upper border for NVIDIA. For AMD sure. Those temps are ok. Go check VBIOS via AtiFlash tool. See if both VBIOS are fine.

I had similar problem with my 6990m,but on lower temps. When I tested VBIOS one VBIOS cards was corrupt but I don't know how drivers in Windows haven't seen that problem. The problem I had was as soon as I started some game or GPU intense app it turned off and restarted...

I updated my VBIOS. I'll post back after trying to play some games. Thanks for the input!
