    Mr. Fox,

since you own an Alienware 18, can you make a brand new HD quality video for a complete teardown + CPU and GPU repaste of the Alienware 18? I know there is the video for the Alienware M18X but that's very different than the Alienware 18 (at least to me since I'm a n00b at these things).

The most difficult thing for me is actually removing the main keyboard panel it seems to be very hard I don't know where to grab it to do it.

I'd really appreciate it if you can do this for me and the Aliewnare 18 community

    Thanks

When I first open my AW18, in order to get the keyboard off I placed it on it's right side then I started to pry the keyboard off from the side near the power button. I did pop off some plastic fasteners-DONT PANIC, I found it not to be a big deal. For me the keyboard comes off like butter now.

Maybe you missed that in my YouTube channel, but I already have one. (There are 149 videos in my channel, so missing one would not be that difficult.)

The one below is an older video, no narration, from when I upgraded the M18xR1 to triple-pipe heat sink and 7970M CrossFire...

Tilt the display back as far as it will go, then lift the palmrest up at the back corners and unsnap it from the chassis by the hinges first, then work your way down both sides simultaneously. If you try to unsnap the palmrest starting at the front it does not come loose very easily and will break lots of clips off. Use a plastic pick tool, old credit card or hotel room access card (using something made of plastic, not metal, and nothing with sharp edges) for leverage and it should not result in scarring or blemishes to any of the parts.

For Liquid Ultra application, the M18xR2 video demonstrates it. Also, view the photos and captions in this album. Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra Application

That's OK, the more the better. For first-timers it's good to have the option of watching more than one video.

Also, if you have the plastic dust cover for the card reader slot inserted, make sure to take that out before removing the keyboard since it'll be in the way.
