Hi guys, its been a while.......

So, recently started messing with wake on lan with my 18, managed to get the system to wake from sleep using splashtop personal which is great....but.....id like to be able to remotely turn on the machine from a hard shutdown.

Not sure if it is possible but thought id ask the best and most knowledgeable people here.

If its a complete no-go, thats fine, any ideas welcomed.

    Stevie

You need to unlock the A12 BIOS, in the BIOS, open the LAN inside the advanced function, you can see the WOL option, I tested the shutdown state can not wake up, or only allow sleep state wake up.

Sorry, are you saying that unlocked a12 actually allows wol from a hard shutdown s5 state or only allows wake from s3? - I can wake from s3 just fine, just not from complete powered down s5....
