I know Clevo GPUs will work in AWs, but I'm wondering if I'll run into any issues with SLI if I have one Dell and one Clevo GPU.

If it will workout fine, does it matter which GPU is the primary and which is the secondary? Thanks.

If they are both 780M or 7970M it shouldn't really make any difference. It might possibly have some effect in some overclocked benching scenarios or something like that, but for normal use and gaming you shouldn't see any difference in performance or behavior at all. With 680M it could be an issue because Dell had 2GB 680M cards and Clevo had 4GB. If they are 780M cards you can even use the same vBIOS on Dell and Clevo, but don't try that with 680M... I already tried using a 4GB Clevo 680M vBIOS on a 2GB Dell 680M and it doesn't work at all. (It didn't brick the GPU, but it had code 43 in Device Manager and wouldn't work until I put the Dell vBIOS back on it again.)

That's good to know. Looks like I'm in the market for a 780M and I guess the first good deal I find (Dell or Clevo), I'll have to jump on.

I believe @TurbodTalon may have Clevo and Dell 780M cards together in SLI. I cannot remember for certain whether it was 7970M CF or 780M SLI that he had a mix and it worked fine. (Since I tagged him, maybe he can clarify which it was.)

Note that it could happen that SLI/CrossfireX doesn't work properly or show anomalies (such as SLI only working when one card is the first GPU and the other the second) if you aren't running the same video card BIOS version on both. However, that doesn't happen very often and I assume you should be able to flash the BIOSes to match anyhow.

Sorry, just saw this. I had mixed 7970Ms that worked fine together until I sold them. As for the 680Ms, unless there's some way to look it up in the device manager, I'm afraid that I can't be of much help.
