Maybe this is a goofy question, maybe not.

Is there a way to leave the M18X "on" after closing the lid?

The reason I ask is, I sometimes hook up to my 24 inch monitor, and use a wireless keyboard and mouse, and would like to have the lid closed while gaming on the bigger screen.

For now, I just leave it open, but if there was a way to keep it ""on with the lid down, that would free up some area on my desk, as I could put it on my keyboard shelf while the keyboard is in my lap.

    Possible?

Yes, just look at the energy saving settings.

    Sure, you can do it.

Open up AlienFX software. Go to the AlienFusion section. There you can modify all sorts of settings including the one you want to modify.

There's an option there that lets you keep the computer on even with the lid closed. Choose the option "Do nothing." Then when you close the lid, the display will turn off, but the computer stays on.
