My laptop has started to fell a bit buggy atm, and I believe that the changes that I've made over some time (update to win10, new GPU) without any clean install is the culprit for that. I know how to fresh install and everything, but that was when I was only running one HDD. Now I am using a SSD for OS Install and programs, and a HDD for music, videos, etc., so I am not sure if the procedure is the same. I have read that you need to wipe the HDD in order to do the OS install on the SDD, is that true? Cant I just remove the HDD, format the SSD, and put the HDD back to the laptop? I do not have a place to save all the data from the HDD, that is why I am asking if there is another way.
I am also looking to reset the bios to default (running latest moded bios) in order to start fresh, however, last time I reset the bios, it set the SATA Operation from AHCI to ATA which, even though I changed it back to AHCI before starting Windows, made the HDD unreadable until it was wiped clean.
What would be a nice order to do all that plus resetting the bios.
Thanks!
