So, I recently got an ASUS 4k monitor. its freaking amazing, and allows me to play less demanding games like WoW, star craft 2, border lands 2, ect AT 4k with maximum details with an overclock. The newest games I need to bring back to 1440p or 1080p, but since the monitor is 4k, it scales very very good, I cant even tell its not running native like other screens. Now my question is... since this resolution is extremely demanding, I keep my 680m sli at about 200/550 overclock with a modded vbios and stock voltage. My temps are around 77 to 79 C under full load over long periods of time. Does this sound safe given the relativiely low temps? And if I have a GPU fail on me, does dell over it even though it has a modded vbios on it? I guess if its dead, can they even tell?
Thanks everyone!

If the GPU fan fails and any damage results from the GPU fan failing they will take care of it. Damage does not occur from using a modded system BIOS or vBIOS, so there would be no basis for them to argue about covering it unless they had proof that the modded firmware caused damage... since it doesn't and can't, you should be in good shape.
If a customer does not use good judgment and causes damage by doing things that are only possible with a modded vBIOS they might have a valid beef about it, but there's no way for them to prove or test that theory that I am aware of. It is up to the customer to deal honestly and fairly with them in this respect. Hopefully, most do so.
Alienware always looks for ways to do right by the customer, so on that basis as well I think you have no reason for worries. -

The cooler the better of course, 90C I would say would be an absolute upper limit for extended periods of use. Probably try to keep it under 85 if possible.
