The graphics are insane. The water/weather effects are sick!! After I beat this and play online, I'm getting Anno 2070. +rep back!

 

I think anno 2070 is a lot better game. I have both now and I kinda got bored with it in like 30 mins... I will give it more time when I finish some homework. Even on my system that has dual 560's I have it cranked up all the way and it does look amazing.

 

Im about 3 hours in. It gets a lot better when they add in helicopters and planes. The campaign is only a tutorial for online multiplayer. How's Anno 2070?

 

good. I am about halfway thru it... it took me a while to figure it out but once you do that it really is just rinse and repeat...

 

Give it a go guys I am definitely glad I found this gem. It uses unigine and the graphics are phenomenal! The gameplay is fast paced and addictive.

 

So is there online for this and if so, how is it?

There is online multiplayer. I always complete the campaign first.

I want to buy Anno but I am waiting for a 50% or 70% discount.

I got this game but sadly its one of my 400 steam games that I have not played yet.

I am addicted to steam! I check it daily and buy anything that's got a good discount.

I even bought lolDuken Nukemlol...... in my defense its 5 bucks!

 

Oil Rush is amazing. When your ready, let's play online. It's definitely demo material. It took me 15 hours to beat the campaign on normal.

Oil Rush has tons of tesellation. How does your 6970M CF handle Oil Rush maxed out with max AA with vsync disabled?

 

I have not loaded it on any of my machines yet. I was busy with SWTOR and Final fantasy XII-2.

I will try and install it on both machines tonight.

 

Gonna wait for the demo before trying it out. Looks good graphically and some of the gameplay reminds me of Homeworld.

 

you could always pirate it and if you like it you buy it.

Here are my pics. The FPS is on the top right using 12.1 drivers. I did disable Crossfire and the fps remained the same so CF does not work right now.

Then again I have not tested the drivers on anything other than SWTOR so it might be a dud driver.

God I am really glad this game really hit it with you guys I totally bought it on a whim when I first saw it.

 

Yea only played for like 15 minutes but it looks promising.

Too bad I did not break the 100 fps mark but considering its running on one card its great!

 

I agree. That's more than I got off of one card.

 

This game uses physx so your version should have allot more particles flying around. So I get more FPS per card but your screen has more going on.

 

Anno is absolutely beautiful. I shouldn't have bought it as now I am literally stuck on it.

Greaaaaat now I gotta go buy Anno 2070. I just bought a Asus Transformer Prime and matching Keyboard Dock.....so now I'm kinda in a hot seat
FTR, the Asus Transformer Prime is AWESOME and smokes my iPad 2. It took me 4 Primes to find the perfect one with NO problems.
