A word of caution concerning benchmarking...

While benchmarking / number chasing can be quite a bit of fun, please be aware that benchmarking your system is pushing your system to its limits. It can and will stress your components. Do so at your own risk - nobody is responsible for this but you.

There are several apps which can be used to benchmark your system. Following is a short list of some which are typically used. There are others and the core benchmarking members will have plenty of suggestions - so ask away.

Posting Benchmark Results and Images

Finally, as with all threads here on NBR, please remember the forum rules when posting.

Any images over 500x500 must be resized. Images embedded within posts which are over 500x500 will be removed. Repeat offenders will receive infractions. There is no reason you cannot take a moment to resize or use thumbnail previews. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation with this.

Requirements:Your screen shot must have the following. No exceptions.CPUZX3 (Meaning - cpu/memory/mainboard)GPUZX1 (Meaning just showing your gpu clocks)And when posting a screen shot of the screen.(vantage/3dmark06 and others) Do not just leave all the information covered up. Scores will be rejected.The correct way to post:

Also this is a pure speed benching list. So whatever you can do to make your system go faster...is open game!Also everyone should use thumbnails or the spoiler command.

The overall over clocking champion is the person who has the most points (or points per class - 5 being best and 1 being the lowest) over all.Example:

User: Mr. Nbr1st place (nvidia card)vantage = 52nd place (nvidia card)3dmark06 = 43rd place (amd card)3dmark11 = 31st place cpuz extreme = 52nd place wprime 1.55 non extreme = 4Total=21

This helps mix it up a bit. What will have you with high points is benching everything. That's only if your going for king of all M18XR1/R2's. If not, don't worry...So, just because I have records in 5 classes, will not give me the over all king of M18XR1/R2....I would need to have the highest score when the dust settles.So at the end of the day...It's the dedicated bencher who will come out on top.... Extreme cpu's will help in 3d benching, but the cpu classes are split. So a guy could potentially beat out Mr. Nbr because he placed first in the non extreme class.(all 6 test for a total of 30 points)World Wide Record Holder means this person holds this over everyone on the planet.(including 3dmark.com & hwbot.org Mobile class benching only.)

So no score bashing:Examples of this are:You used and AC and i didn'tYou used dry ice and i didn'tYou left your laptop outside in zero degree weather and i didn'tYou used a freezer and i didn'tYou used a cooling pad and i didn'tMy score is stock and i don't care about benching. (Unless your just testing your system. )

LOL. Don't need dry ice with the 580m's. That's the best part!

 

johnkss howcome your scores are not up? and where is Xeneize

 

Waiting on my new system. Which should be here later today. Which was pretty darn fast! Ordered on the dec 9th. And it's already here in California. Now that's service!

Going to try and go off of just my new system this round. And Xeneize should be posting later today. Along with everyone else..

great stuff more to come over the next few days. need to see the results of others. Hope your new machine is perfect out of the box as mine was. question howcome inap score is no.1 is vantage? is it based only on GPU score or highest score?

 

Hmm mine went into build on the 9th like yours too but it still says in production. When did yours change to shipped John? Can't wait to bench it.

 

I looked back at it and it said it shipped on the 14th.
Fedex got the shipping info on the 12th

Seeing as how you have the highest AMD score for Vantage on a mobile device, I'm kinda hoping to get my M18x soon.

LOL. I'll probably end up with the overall record simply because I'll have an AMD and an NVIDIA system for a few days to go nuts with!

 

Bring it Sentinel196 haha i have not even hit 44x multis + yet let alone push the 580m's yet

 

For that to happen. You would need pretty big numbers in cpu class as well...

I want to make it as fair as possible for people to show up on the boards. And just because someone doesn't have an extreme cpu...I don't want them to feel they don't count in the end. So this list will be evolving in the next few days. Still working on the points system..haha

John, I am so happy you got your new M18x. I can hardly want to see if your SATA problem is gone so you can start putting us in our places with your insanely high benchmarks.

I just broke both the 3DMark11 and Vantage scores posted earlier, but feel free to hold off on updating until tomorrow morning. After an overnight cool-down, I think I may get another Vantage run over 26k again from a cold boot. (My last 26k+ did not have the right stuff in the screen shot.)

Im about to post my latest scores. wPrime 1.55 isn't working properly though. Its only loading my CPU to about 30% and takes 3 times as long as wPrime2 to do the tests.

 

Because you have to set the threads to 8 instead of letting it run on 1.

Ok heres my scores for Vantage.

Nothing compared to your mega overclocks. Im just running standard level 3 overclock of CPU with my best stable settings for the GPUs.
