Hopefully this one is good and brings back OC capabilities!

Official NVIDIA 347.52 WHQL Driver Feedback Thread | GeForce Forums
If the overclock block is still there for Maxwell mobile, everyone needs to make a BIG STINK over at GeForce forums.
Their insolence and non-nonchalant attitude about their mistakes and bad decisions is starting to push the envelope on being tolerable.Ashtrix and reborn2003 like this. -
I'm keen to test these out. Care to mod a driver INF for us.
Also i was just wondering if you also had to mod INFs for your panther 5 atm?
Thanks.Mr. Fox likes this. -
This is tweaked for Clevo and Alienware. MSI, ASUS, Lenovo and other laptop owners will need to screw up the INF file for their models as explained here. All Windows 8.X.X users, remember to disable Driver Signature Enforcement prior to installation or it is guaranteed to fail. If you run HWiNFO64, temporarily disable startup with OS to avoid lockups when Windows loads without the correct display drivers.
Supported GPUs:
[Strings]
DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows (64 bit) Driver Library Installation Disk 1"
NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_A = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_DEV.11A0 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M"
NVIDIA_DEV.119F = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M"
NVIDIA_DEV.1198 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M"
NVIDIA_DEV.13D8 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M"
NVIDIA_DEV.13D7 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M"
This should install on all Alienware models with aftermarket upgrades with the above GPUs.
NOTE: Run DDU in Safe Mode to strip out everything from the old NVIDIA drivers. If you do an "upgrade in place" over the previous driver, you may end up with a black screen. (I did with 780M SLI after a reboot and had to redo it as a clean driver installation.)Attached Files:

Edit: overclocking is not blocked on 780M SLI. Will install on the Panther with 980M SLI momentarily and report.Last edited: Feb 10, 2015reborn2003 likes this. -
Overclocking still seems to be blocked for me on these new GPU drivers. Looks like the same old Maxwell effect again only.Mr. Fox likes this. -
OK, be sure to rant over at GeForce forum. These retards are never going to get it right as long as everyone acts like good like boys and girls and drink their Kool-Aid. Let's raise some hell over there.

They're a bunch of drips.. I just posted in the Nvidia thread.

I am about to do the same... Clevo overclocking is blocked, too.

I think I even see some throttling now -

Hopefully, the mod will work great for 880M owners like the last mod even though it's crap for Maxwell. Those friends have certainly waited for far too long to have GPUs that work right.
@Ferris23 - you'll have to try it and compare performance against one without a driver mod. All of the registry stuff is different using the desktop INF. There is no proprietary code from the Dell (or Clevo) INF to muddy the waters. In theory it should perform better, and it certainly did with my last desktop driver mod. No guarantee the same will be true with this one. If it doesn't, it's easy enough to install it in stock INF configuration. So, there is nothing to lose except a few minutes testing.Kade Storm and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -
What do you guys mean overclocked blocked? Like literally you can't change the memory or gpu speeds? I just upgraded to the the newest driver and been playing evolve for hours with no issues. Ran it with SLI enabled GPU clock at 1030MHZ and memory 1350Mhz.
However not related to the game evolve but for some reason today my georce game experience thing keeps crashing today. I didn't use it anyway, but just wanted to put it out there in case someone a lot smarter then me could figure out what is wrong. -
Only on Maxwell. Kepler doesn't seem to be affected by that problem. NVIDIA's really screwing with Maxwell owners.
This is what happens with Maxwell...

CptXabaras Overclocked, Overvolted, Liquid Cooled
Hi guys, just to chime in, tested these yesterday night. Basically, with this drivers GPU score on syntetics has increased, Physix/Combined, have been lowered.
Tested Dying Light and performance are stellar with this driver set. Going to keep it to see how it behave with other games,reborn2003 and Mr. Fox like this. -
This driver is a piece of crap... with my 780M SLI I lost almost 2000 points in FireStrike: with old 344.75 drivers = 8971 points stock /new 347.52 drivers = 7192 points. With micro stuterings all over the place like the gpus are suffering from a heavy throttling to display the graphics in 3DMark... It seems I'll back to old 344.75 drivers forever from now on.

Mr. Fox, please tell me, what is the most stable and productive drivers for the GTX 880M SLI? Thank you.

All of the new drivers are pure garbage. They don't block overclocking on Kepler, but I have noticed severe throttling happens with 780M SLI now that does not occur with 344.75 drivers.

Even I'm using the old driver on my machine after seeing wierd clocks and temps !

Is Mr Fox's modded 344.75 driver still best for 880m sli? There seems to be a few newer drivers out now and would like to know if 344.75 is the way to go. Im working with an ALW18 4940mx gtx 880m sli if that matters. Thanks
