    Hi everyone
I bought and installed 16 gigs of 1600 hyperx ram
The alienware's leds lit for a second then the computer turned off
I removed the new extra ram and then tried booting but now it is not functioning at all
    I tried everything
    Battery only
    Adapter only
Pressing the power button for 20 sec with adapter and battery disconnected
Then trying to boot with adapter

    Nothing
The laptop doesnt function at all now even after undoing the Extra ram added to 3rd and 4th slots

What should i do? Any suggestions ?
    Please help me out

Its an alienware 18 2013 with 8 gigs of dual channel ram and 2 765m in SLI

Where did you put the ram? Did you put them in the slots underneath the key board? If so, did you reconnect all the ribbons, one supplies power to MB. In any event check all ribbon connections to MB, especially the ones underneath cd/blue ray player. Also check power brick.

Yes, i did a full teardown then reinstalled every part and it worked
    Thank you so much!
Maybe it was a disconnected ribbon
