Hi all. I'm not as bright as everyone here so I am apologizing in advance because despite everything I've read, I still can't figure out how to do what I am trying to do. I have 880m sli and I am concerned about throttling and heat dude to experiencing what seems to be some occasional inconsistent performance. What I need to know is how do I monitor my GPU temp and clock speed on screen while I am playing a game?
I have used gpu-z and logged the file but that does not help me. I want to see what my cards are doing while I'm playing the game. Not just what the max and average is. Can someone please explain to me how to monitor these things ON SCREEN during a gaming session for the purpose of finding out if my cards are throttling at any point due to heat or any other reason. If it helps, I game connected to an external monitor through hdmi. I'm truly sorry for asking a question that is second nature to everyone else but I just haven't found an answer that explains how to do this in real time. Atleast not one I have understood. Thanks so much to any who take time to read and maybe help.

I use RSTT (RivaTuner Statistics Server) and MSI Afterburner. RSTT comes bundled with Afterburner by default.
You need RSTT running along with Afterburner and then change the settings in the Monitoring tab of Afterburner to show whatever variable you want on the OSD of RSTT. -
HOW TO: Monitoring CPU and GPU Temperatures In-Game/In-Benchmark with On-Screen Display
Just download RivaTuner Statistics Server as a standalone and use HWiNFO64 portable version for output. Works better than anything else and give you a lot more options than Afterburner does.

You configure the output on the OSD RTSS tab, like this...

The cheap way is to run msi afterburner and screenshot the graphs after woods. This is fine for short sections of game play.

thanks so much for the replies and suggestions. Didn't know how to set the programs to display on screen during a session. Will try tonight. Thanks again.
