A mate purchased it off eBay for roughly around $360AUD from the UK I think it was, he got it for his 17 Ranger but it's never detected in the Ranger's BIOS so unusable for him.

It's original BIOS gave code 43 in device manager on the M18x R2 so I flashed it with one of @SMGJohn RX 480 BIOS he posted for another user and that allowed it to work.

It only works in SG mode, when I select PEG I get 8 beeps.

TDP of the BIOS is 70W.

Requires HWiNFO to run the fans as the GPU fan does not run on its own.

I've got both systems. :) If I do get my hands on a WX7100 though that would be nice but $500AUD+ is a bit rich for me.

It runs great in SG on the M18x R2 but it's my friend's card and it does not work in SG on his LVDS 60hz Ranger for some reason, it's just not detected in BIOS, would you know why it would work in one but not the other? Is it the Rangers BIOS preventing it or the VBIOS?

Would flashing a WX7100 VBIOS to it work or would the incorrect VRAM type mess it up? it's Hynix.

Does THIS or WX7100 fits for 18r1 with sandy bridge?
