Well I keep having problems and now it is the graphics cards..maybe.

My R2 came with GTX 675M SLI, was going to change them to a 980M but had to let it go as I needed the money.
there is no trigger or pattern for this to happen but I just get random times where my screen with go black and stay that way. Sound will still play as if nothing has happened, but the unmistakable sound of a windows 7 popup plays but I can't see it obviously.
I'm forced to turn the laptop off and back on again where everything works likes normal. Sometimes the screen will go black right away other time I can have days without it happening, but every time that pop up sound plays telling me something is wrong.

I have disabled SLI and it still happens, I enable SLI and it still happens. The only time I can 100% never get it to happen is in safe mode.
fresh install of windows and drivers everything was fine, but then black screened on me when installing updates.

Are both of these card on the way out since this problem happens in SLI or not ?
Also what is the best graphics card I can get that will fit ? I can't be asked to be modding bios and heatsinks I just want to drop it on and go for the time being.
Can't do it myself because I tend to break things XD

Can either be driver issues or dying GPU.

Download DDU and do a clean driver install.

Already tried that without luck, old drivers to new the issue still happens. Haven't long reinstalled Windows and still it happens so I am starting to think it is the my GPU's being close to death.
Temps for fine nothing stupidly high either.

    right now I am look at a replacement, currently looking at either 770m / 780 - 870m / 880m in SLI

So you could run the slave GPU on master then and build your primary GPU out of the case, it sounds your GPU is dying. The cards that would be plug in play are AMD HD 8970M's, they have the same structure as the 675M's. The AMD cards are cheap and run at 965m / 870M performance levels.
