Disabling windows password nets me a 13.5 sec login with Vertex 3 raid 0. 19 sec with password.

No raid, single sandforce drive. Also first run, no cherry picking.

I have not done a rebuild or much on this laptop other then add the sandforce and upgrade the ram. Most software and services are stock. What I have done is run this ssd tweak guide. I recomend it, most likely get better boot times then mine with the raid: The SSD Optimization Guide - The SSD Review

For my second run, I enabled gamebooster 3 which disables what it sees as unnecessary services

Are you counting from the bios start or after the bios? After the Bios I get 9 seconds so you most likely are counting the bios time too.

Also If you disable the windows animation logo you can get even better times since most the time your waiting on the animation to finish before you continue the boot.

Also keep in mind that having an external display will add a good 5+seconds to your bootup time (u2410 connected by mini-dp-->dp does this).

Ok thats unfair lol, when you play normal video games do you put your laptop in the freezer or use the 1 foot heatpipe? lol I didn't think so...

Benchmarking is just that, numbers talk!

Oni222 is the winner here, 1 driver, 2 drive, anything goes... :D

Since OCZ officially does their benches with ATTO that's the only one I use but I don't mind running other benches if you want a specific apps results.

Those numbers look pretty low for a single vertex 3. Are you using the Max iops edition or the standard version?
