And I have no idea why............it just started doing this about 30 mins ago. I checked the BIOS settings to make sure Turbo Boost was enabled etc and it is.

I've had this happen before. I had to use the load default settings option in the BIOS, save, exit, re-enter BIOS and put in the settings I wanted an the problem went away for me.

Also, make sure your power settings is set to "high performance" and your AC adapter is plugged in.

Ok, make sure your chipset drivers are up to date. Go back into your BIOS and disable C-states (assuming your BIOS is unlocked). Get into XTU, and start changing multipliers around and see if that does anything.

Bios is not unlocked. Will check the chipset drivers but this just started while the computer was on and operational.

    Edit:

Looks to be related to the Power Brick.............I unplugged it from the laptop while I had it set for 100% on battery and it kicked up to where it should be........plugged it back in and rebooted and now I'm getting the 4+ GHz it should be getting.

    Thanks for the help!
