Don’t bother, reduces CPU performance for an exploit that will likely never be used on you

That is still pretty cool that Dell would release an update like that. Guess they have not forgotten about their end users.

Is anyone able to check if they added support for the 980M with these?

If not is it possible that someone can update this with an unlocked version for testing?

The Unlocked A11 Bios is all you really need since it supports GTX 980M in Windows 7 legacy mode which is what I am using right now.
And in case you meant allowing support for 980M driver update then that was also possible with the Unlocked A11.
Just like @Raidriar said, "reduces CPU performance for an exploit that will likely never be used on you"

    Huh? 980M support was added by swick and I in modded A11. I think @Rengsey R. H. Jr. was talking about Alienware 18, not M18x R2. Latest M18x R2 BIOS is A12

Alienware did release A13 also for M18X R2. But like @Raidriar mentioned above, Dell didn't release any support for 980m on the M18X R2. It was @Swick1981 and @Raidriar who added support for the 980m , and myself , the tester.

Can someone with more knowledge, dig into and see if anything is updated, except the CPU microcode?

This is something I was wondering earlier myself. Even if theres minor performance loss if someone were to find the 980m supported in the code it would still be worth it as it would mean an official bios that works with that gpu.

Im planning on selling my M18Xr2 soon so if whoever buys it has up to date Bios support it at least means less hassle for them.

I am running on a stock bios , and the card AMD 8950m works, also work in XFIRE too. I didn't realize that I was on stock bios when I first ran the cards, till now.

Only thing is not working is native fan control. but I use hWinfo

    I don't have a 980m to test though.
