So currently the ribbon cable for the hard drives bit the dust, so im booting linux from a flash drive, and yet i cannot seem to get hdmi in to work no matter what i try.

I am going to order a CD rom replacement bay from amazon so i can have it up and running sooner, but i need to order a cable from ebay at some point :( honestly want to just order a better m18x off of someone hahah :3 :)

But anyone have any linux experience on the m18x for getting hdmi in to work?

Check if gpu is set in PEG mode. It should be.

I tested this feature in live linux mode and it works flawlessly, hell it even works without operating system.

So after reading up abit, i need a certain BIOS to check if im in PEG mode right? Im currently running the A05 bios, but i dont have a problem upgrading bios (i think i can without a hard drive?) to get access to some of that. :) what bios are you using? (sorry about the delayed response, long day at work.)

also, how much did your upgprade to a 2920XM and 880M Sli cost you? my 2630qm and 460m Sli could use a upgrade. hahaha

You need unlocked bios to do that.

    2920XM was cheap, it's ES, about 120$.

880Ms were also cheap cause no one wanted to buy them in this country so seller had to lower the price for me but I don't remember exact price.
