Help！How to switch integrated graphics to discrete graphics？

I recently purchased a version 1.2 of the msi1070 graphics card. I followed the @DaMafiaGamer post step by step. I could not install the uploaded driver (388.59). Then I downloaded the latest 198.82 driver and modified the inf file. Finally, the installation was successful. Entering the system, the problem is that I can't switch to a discrete graphics card, unless I use aida64 for stress testing, I only have integrated graphics when I open the game. Who can help me, thank you very much.

 

You need to use section018 in the inf mod otherwise the driver will not work properly.

What is your hardware id is it 1be1 or 1ba1?

 

I had the same problem on the m18x r2 where I tried to bench 3dmark11 , it would use integrated graphic.

When i play fortnite , it would use discrete graphic lol ... it was also a msi gtx 1070.

I gave up after that.

i install the 388.59 by you uploaded,and it work well.it's x score is 7114.
then i want to updated the driver to 399.02,if i use section018 it doesn't work.and i use section156 it work well.and it's x score is 7012.
is there a unlock vbios for msi 1070 like 980m?or we don't need it?

Depends, I didn't need to mod the vbios on my gtx 1070 as it is a very good overclocker. 250mhz on both core and memory gave me 115% on userbechmark and around 7600 on 3dmark.

You might not be so lucky though. Vbios requires usb bios programmer such as skypro.

i flash vbios 86.04.5b.00.8a by nvflash,just like flash 980m.then i oc by 250mhz,and i get x score 7786. my 1070 temperature maximum is 45℃ .but if i oc more,i can't finish the 3dmark11 test.
can we get the x score for 9000?
