    Help with M18x r2

    Asking for a friend's kid.


    His m18x r2 AMD 7970m xfire seem to have issues with verterical lines. It seems one of the gpu's might be given out.
    Do the 7970m's have a slave or master type bios that I can just find out which one is good and bad. I will take out the bad one and install the good one.

    If the slave 7970m is good, I can install it in the master slot without issues.

    Bios is indifferent, check if the gpu's thermal range is acceptable (max 78°/80° in a dust and dried system) you can try to flash the same on both card but seems one of them is going to die shortly (as the most of 7970m) the master gpu is located at left of cpu socket (try disabling crossfire, then disable one by one, if isn't succesfull you must swap the gpus to find the one with issues).
    And then start looking for a best card..
