Well as the title say somehow the HDMI device is not showing any more, I have tried uninstalling and re installing sound blaster, but it still doesn't show. Since its not showing when I plug my M18x to any TV, the audio still comes out from the pc.

I have checked both show disabled devices and show disconnected devices, still doesn't show. I have tried the Dell sound blaster driver and the one that windows installs and it still doesn't show. The only different thing right now is that I changed my nvidia driver, but I tried changing it back (to the version where my HDMI audio have worked) and it still doesn't work.

    Any suggestion?

    I'm using Windows 8.1.

Are you running in Optimus mode, discrete or IGFX? This makes a difference. When I was testing a single 980M in Optimus mode the HDMI stuff was disappearing on me. When I would put it in PEG mode with no Intel iGPU access the HDMI devices were all present and accounted for. Also, when running in Optimus mode, all of the stuff for custom display resolutions, scaling and settings such as those totally disappears from NVIDIA Control Panel. Some of the settings (although not very robust options) showed up in the Intel Graphics Control Panel. The M18xR2 really isn't designed to be used this way. I don't have those strange things happening with Optimus totally disabled and dual GPUs installed.

Duh, I'm so dumb..... I totally forgot that I changed it to SG to install the intel driver..... Definitely going to try changing it to PEG.

No, you're not dumb. I only knew of offering this suggestion for something to investigate because of tinkering with stuff trying to get 980M to work right in the M18xR2. Otherwise, I would not have had anything to suggest for you.
