Anybody with 680M sli can do test run for me see if you get flickering during sequence of tests like horizontal lines black distorted flickers trough the length of the screen (proceed with Kmark (physics) X-Score preset )... interesting, I get no problem with 3dmark11 or 3dmark vantage just in MSI kombustor 2.3 or 2.4... it doesnt happen if I disable SLI, can it be poor SLI cable or poor cable installation etc?

I tried 302 306.2x and 306.6x drivers best performance so far from 306.2x driver, same issue troughout the all driver versions

Also my temps never hit more than 75c in benchmarking but in MSI kombustor it reports GPU throttling almost all time on both GPUs however I manage hit higher score in SLI disabled mode (X1925) and physics gpu on secondary card only.

Also voltages appear to be different on both cards while runing benchmarks, can this be an issue??

    thnx

Actually I have to admit, I have seen the horizontal black lines in a few games, they don't span the entire length of the screen and only seem to crop up occasionally in a few of the more graphically intensive games I have:

TES V: Skyrim with SkyRealism ENB
    GTA 4 with icEnhancer 2.1

What is interesting is that it only happens once in a blue moon and only with the games where a DOF visual effect is present. And usually it doesn't last very long.

I have know idea what it is but I am not too concerned as it rarely happens.

Also occasionally get a red screen when exiting some games, only momentarily.

    I'm on 302.

Problem solved: Don't use MSI Kombustor. There's no need for it... like Furmark, it really serves no useful purpose in the grand scheme of things. There is nothing wrong with your SLI cable if the only time you see it is when running Kombustor. And, the throttling you see is by design. You may have noticed the secondary GPU load is at or near zero in the first test. You may have also noticed that the throttling begins the moment the utility is launch, before it even has a chance to get warm. AMD 7970M CrossFire does the same thing. GPU manufacturers are blacklisting utilities that are basically designed to burn up their video cards. You can circumvent it through registry hacks and vBIOS mods, but I don't recommend it.

If you open the driver tweaking tool in NVIDIA Inspector, you will even see a drop-down under "Power Throttle" for MSI Kombustor.

I havent tried any games yet really no time, but will do and will see but as said I truelly believe thats the code being blocked by the driver/firmware of gpu.

yes throttling begins from second I launch app while gpus can be at 30-35c however they go up to as far as for GPU1 max 73-75c and GPU2 maybe 60c ish... yes I had no problems in 3dmark tools nor the unigine thats for sure.

I used with kombustor as its lightweight tool to see the initial scores as I have mesured several past hw performances with it thought would be goot to compare scores too but it may become obsolete tool now :)
