As I know, G-Sync is compatible with mobile GPUs. 780 and above, idk about older cards.
You just need a monitor with G-Sync and mini Display Port cable.

So long as the GPU supports it and you connect via displayport you should be good.

Sorry I thought you meant external monitor, lol, the internal is just a test and is not fully developed yet so there are serious issues using it anyway.

No, looks like they are holding off adding that in for some reason.

I wonder if it's optimus issues stopping them rolling it out.

Well, that is entirely possible and highly likely, Brother Meaker. Shadowplay desktop capture functionality is in the same boat... with a very simple registry tweak that works beautifully for machines that are not using Optimus, but not at all for those that do. Optimus and Enduro have always been an impediment in one manner or another. Things would be much better if they ditched both of them and the entire industry went to a manual graphics switching setup, but there would probably be a bunch of crybabies whining about having to reboot to switch between discrete and integrated graphics. In the end, we all pay the price and do without many good things in order to pacify the mainstream lovers of mediocrity and convenience that simply cannot be bothered by something that takes less than a minute.
