    Hey

Have a question about the FN + .... hotkeys. Is there a way to change them on the AW 18 ? cant seem to find the answer.

The problem is that after i got the notebook back from repair (new mobo and GPU-s) i updated the Alienware FX as nothing was lighting up. ......after that i plugged in my mouse and tried to turn of the t-pad with FN+F11. Trackpad off but windows loged off also.
    If i press FN+F11 i turn the t-pad off/on + loges me off
Fn+F7 turns down volume and opens up word.
FN+F6 puts the notebook to sleep.
FN+F8 opens up excel and turns up the volume.

All other FN hotkeys work as they should.

Edit: Will try to remove command center again + use CClean to clear reg. and then reinstall.

And what exactly does the Command Center have to do with the FN Keys?

It's the Alienware OSD Application that you need to uninstall/reboot/then reinstall/then reboot

This is true, the OSD controls such keys. Try reinstalling that and let us know.

The command center and the newer bios is the only thing i installed...so that was my thought at first. I tried to install alienware OSD aswell but did not work. Issue was still there. Looking under program´s installed i found a "keyboard dirver" installed. Might have been a driver installed by the repair ? no idea but after removing it all is working as it should. Think the drivers override some of the fn functions.

The Alienware OSD application is the FIRST thing you need to install before installing anything! I got the information from the Alienware Resource DVD, when you click on Installation Order, it says to install the Notebook App (which is the Alienware OSD app) first, then the rest, then command center last
