ok so i had to wipe and start over.. and stupid me instead of backing up my current drivers i relied on the dvd that came with the system and and it didnt have half the drivers i needed and im down to 2 that i cant find..

Ethernet controller and usb controller.. ive tried all the drivers i could find on dell and the dvd and nothing is working..

also.. when i try to install the usb 3.0 drivers im told my machine doesn't meet the minimum requirement for the driver?

If your still having problems PM me your email and I'll google drive you the drivers I have downloaded and used for Windows 8.1. It may not be all of them but it's the majority.

With an attitude like that, sometimes it makes it difficult for some people to help you. Caps is seen as screaming on the internet which is typically considered impolite.

oh where does it say i can not post in all caps? just saying.. secondly i haven't been rude at all to any one..
I tell ya this is getting silly.. going back and reading this thread it seems if other people had an issue with a stuck caps lock button.. and took offence to it..

Maybe it got lost in translation.. maybe it was my frustrations with the screw ups with Alienware and there lack of not including all the drivers on the DVD that were needed..
or even on there stripped down version of windows.. I mean they could have at least included some generic network drivers haha..

well any ways feel free to close this thread.. sad to see that the moves Alienware are making are starting to make more sense now with the type of reply's i received in this thread..

Now explaining the caps lock was stuck is much better. Being intentionally rude, such as in the 10th post, is what will attract actions. Find another way to release aggravation, not on the users here! On the opposite side of the coin there is also no reason for name calling either.

As a response to including drivers, yes it would be nice. You will find though you are not alone with the issue and AW is not the only OEM to have this issue either. Being as we here can do nothing to help put those drivers on the CD then what are here for is to help you find those drivers. Politely ask and you will usually find a lot of people here want to help.

oh i agree.. but being told i sound like a 13 year old kid for a simple sentence is annoying in its self..compounded with the added aggravations of this .. given that the 10th post here wasn't all that rude.. it was more of a materoffact statement.. I mean do not get me wrong here.. I appreciate the user input and im glad to see new members and some times you have to look at what part of the world they come from before you read to much into there comments.. but then on the flip side of that coin you got users that feel there gods gift to these forums and come across very pushy..

    point taken tho..
