I ordered my m18x on 27th june and I received it on 14th july. I paid $3155 CAN (after tax and 15% discount, $2750 before tax) see my signature. Did I pay too much for my configuration? Could I get a better configuration for the same price? If so, should I send it back for a refund? Can I send it back if I already unboxed it? I am really confusing.

I live in Canada so I don't think I am eligible for the 25% off. But, my father works at CGI so he got a 15% off on any dell alienware laptops.

I am still happy with my m18x, but I have a feeling that I could get better for the same price.

How much you guys paid for yours? Before and after discount and taxes?

Not sure about Canada, the most you can get in europe is about 10%, the 25% mostly apply to U.S customers but I'm not positive. Yes you can return it and yes the 15% is a lot but it up to you how long you can wait without having your notebook.

You have 21 days to return it from the day shipped if you are in canada AND if you got it from the Dell home division. But you did get a good price from what I can see. Have you priced out another system?

25% EPP does not apply to orders in Canada.

I bought mine while there was a $500 discount and a 50% on a tact-x coming with. So I can't build something similar with the discount since it comes with 460m SLI and a 1.5t HDD. I'm waiting for this discount to end to see if the next one will include the 6990m.

But, according to you guys, I feel better that I had a good deal :)

Ya the r3 is kind of a unknown right now. They are not r3's and it's not a color code. No one really knows what its for. Just ignore it

thats what i thought lol... i had to check the sub section to make sure i wasnt in the m17x section. maybe they call it the R3 because the 17R2 was the last to have dual cards and such and now this is the third "mothership" they have made/sold
