    Hi all,

I am considering buying an external wide screen monitor for my Alienware 18 (Dual GTX 880m SLI) and found that Dell has released the UltraSharp U3415W Curved Monitor.

Have anyone of you guys tried this combo. The screen seems awesome but I have not been ablte to find any compatibility info. The U3415W has a resolution of 3440x1440.

I would appreciate any information available.

    Rgds

It should run fine on your pc as long as it has a mini-display port. You need that to get 60mhz for gaming. HDMI won't get that. I'm saying this based on the screen I have. Just as a personal preference-curved display hate them, they have to be on flat stand alone surface. Wall mounting is out. Gaming in 3440 x 1440 is awesome, of course all games won't support it but those that do wow.

Hey Scanner, does your AW18 have the ability to output 4K@60Hz with Displayport? have your tried that? Can you try it somewhere.. I was wondering if upgrading to 9 series GPU's means that at least displayport can do this..
