Hi I have chance of an upgrade for Alienware 18
Does anyone know if it helps, as the BIOS has no NVMe setting. Someone suggested it may work with teo of them in RAID - I know AHCi is a bottleneck
Thanks so much if you can help

No, the M-connector is mSATA not M.2 (aka NGFF). The AW 18 also has a cage with two 2.5inch SATA drives (9.5mm height, each) and the optical drive and be removed for a 3rd 2.5 inch SSD, if you want.

So it's all SATA. You can choose between RAID and AHCI. I've used the Samsung 850 EVO and 840 EVO in mine. I guess if you could find an adapter, it might work. Quickest way to performance would be RAID two 2.5inch SATA SSDs.
