Ey everyone. I previously had a black m18x and bought a red lcd back cover and base sonic could change the color. The new base came today, and it was perfect looking but for some reason one of the tabs won't snap in properly to the palm rest. It's the tab right above and to the middle of that big card slot( below the Sd card slot). I tried multiple times to get it to snap properly but it won't, and every time I assemble the machine there is play and annoying clicking/popping sounds from that area. Any ideas on how I can make this work or do I need to call them up and ask for another

Why don't you compare both the bottom cases and see the difference. I never had any issues so far replacing / changing them. It was a quick procedure as well, though I just took my time not to get to 'confident' in replacing them.

The picture would be pretty useful. They might be slightly different as juliant makes a good point there.

Hey. I got them to send another. This time the palm rest snapped perfectly.. But the paix circle around the per jack missing! And I noticed after I spinnaker plug it in after assembly and saw the whole mobo through the power port hole. On to number 3. Visually the first two looked identical though

Probably the 'nett' is missing for that area. I do not know what to tell you, I just believe that you should have taken your time with the first replacement. If you did not send that one back yet, see if you can swap them. Some of the parts like the plastic sides (where you have the jack and other ports) can be easily removed. But you have to do it slowly and you may require a prying tool. Also you will need to buy from home depot or any hardware shop a double side tape (As thin as possible; I recommend 3M as it is more durable) so that you can stick it to those plastic sides when you swap them.

And again dandan112988, it is nice if you post pictures when you describe any issues so that we can help you in a better way.
