    Are all Alienware touchpads interchangeable?

    I have an M18x R2 and the touchpad barely works anymore. I was wondering if a touchpad from say an Alienware 18, 17 or 16 model would work in my laptop?

    No. You will need a M18x R1 or M18x R2 touch pad module.

    You might be better off just buying the whole palm rest assembly on ebay.

    I don't remember if the M17xR3 & M17xR4 touch pad was also the same but might be.
