    I have a question about m18x r2
    I'm purchasing m18x r2
    the spec is i7 4900mq, 16g ram, gtx 780sli, 1tb fusion drive
the person selling is telling me that he bought it 2014 in best buy, I know that M18x r2 got replaced by the newer model in 2013. So do they still sell it in 2014?

    If the laptop have an Haswell processor(i7-4xxxMq/Mx) = Aw18 and not a Aw18xr2. Aw18 is a 2013 and 2014 model.

I know that the aw model replaced the mx model. But he gave me a picture of the mx18 model with the spec listed. so im just wondering if its legit, since its a pretty big purchase.

There is no way that an M18x R2 can have a Haswell 4xxx processor. If the specs are accurate, it has to be an Alienware 18, regardless of pictures.

Hi @Bill Zeng - welcome to our Community. Be careful if pictures don't match specs. If you are looking at something on eBay or Craigslist, that can be a warning sign of a possible scam.

    Thanks for the warning!
I've made sure that the model is indeed AW18, we are meeting locally so I doubt I will get scamed.
I'm not sure how much is that spec worth right now? Any help is appreciated guys!
