I Have to ask if it is possible to downgrad a Alienware m18x R2 with older Fermi Cards. I want to upgrade only my Mainboard, and my cpu as well, but i dont konw if that is possible with this config. I would buy a R2 and take my Grapfhics out of my old one and put it into the r2, and the graphics from the r2 (which is a 680m) in my old r1 and sell it then on ebay. I hope you can help me.
My Reason is only to handle my old sli config for later upgrades, because the r2 could handle the 9xx series as well.

I have never actually done what you're asking. I can only assume (ugly word) that 560M works in an R2 because I've seen 675M in an R2, and 675M is Fermi.
