    Hello everybody.
    I own an M18XR2
I also suffer the problem of having to perform this operation to avoid delays:

    1) Power up (or reboot) and keep pressing F2 to enter BIOS
    2) From the Advanced menu and Video Configuration, select as primary the IGFX
    3) Save and exit and reboot and keep pressing F2 to enter BIOS
    4) From the video configuration select PEG
    5) Save and exit and boot to windows.

With this the laptop works perfectly.
Is there anything new about this? To avoid having to perform this procedure every time.
    Regards

How did you get Windows 10 to work with the R2? Last I heard there was an issue with it bricking displays. Just curious, I have to reinstall Win 7 on my R2 once I acquire a boot drive, I have Win 10 on my desktop PC, and there's a few reasons to want to upgrade (once you turn off the spyware nonsense on 10), specifically, the ability to play Microsoft Store exclusive titles such as Forza Horizon 3 and 4, even though my single 980M will have it's work cut out for it at 1080p.

Iirc there was no issue installing and running that "bright and wonderfully perfect, masterpiece version of OS" on the r2.
Had it also running on a r1 of a friend.

The bricking was caused by the usage of either precision x or afterburner on this OS.

The bricking of displays was due to overclocking utility in Win10. EVGA Precision bricked my EDID and had to replace the LCD. Just use Ntune and do not load any other overclock utility, imo.

Nice! How do you overclock the 980M's?

Even AB? I thought it was just PX, but it would make sense considering EVGA stole / copied MSI AB directly.

    Even AB?

    Thanks for the replies.

I don't use After Burner but I think that one is okay to use.
