I recently got an Alienware M18x R2 mother board replaced and ever since then, the macro keys wont turn the color i want it to. For example i turn it the rest of the keyboard to light blue it turns to dark blue. i turn it to green it turns off. i turn it to yellow it turns red. It wont turn to certain colors. I already uninstalled and reinstalled alienware command center and it did not work. i dont like to mix anything. I also have a mouse problem where it clicks by itself when i type. happens once in awhile and its annoying.

Perhaps its halfway plugged in....i had that problem with my Control Center (the part with the alien head power button) so i always have the machine on when reinstalling that cable to make sure it goes in all the way and often the machine doesnt have it HDD at that time so i press the eject button to make sure it responds to it then i attempt to place it down making sure it doesnt get loose then power off the machine take out the battery and screw it back together...probably what happened theres 2 ribbions on the mac keys (only 1 on the control center) the smaller ribbon handles the lights it may be loose ( sadly mine bent real bad but dells sending a new one ) check and try to reseat that plug CAREFUL its easy to bend ._.

The reason i suspect this is the mac keys probably rely on mixing RGB and ur green isnt working but if u mix RED AND GREEN it makes yellow in this case green is missing so red comes out

Trickster is right. There are two ribbon cables for the macro keys, and both need to be fully installed for them to function normally. Make sure you pull out the keyboard and flop it down on its face. If you pull the macro keys last and install them first, you don't have to work the macro key ribbon cables around the keyboard.

As for your other issue, is the touch pad on the palm rest enabled while you're typing? If so, try disabling it by hitting FN+F12. The pads of your thumbs may be hitting the touch pad, which is like clicking your mouse.

It would be a good idea to disable the touchpad while you type. It could be that the button isn't properly seated in the palmrest causing it to click while typing.
Make sure you check those connections from the macro keys to the board because that it probably the only thing that may be causing that behavior.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Command Center?
