    Hey guys,

I've had my Alienware M18x R1 for a while now and I'm looking to sell it and buy something new. I started looking around and I can't find any similar ones for sale! I was just wondering if anyone could help me price it?
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question (Please let me know where to move this thread if it is)

The specs of the laptop are the ones in my signature

    It has

    • Core i7 2760QM @ 3.4GHz
    • 8GB of 1600MHz ram
    • Dual GTX 580Ms in SLI (These things are great, btw, and they take overclocks well. I can also flash the 675M bios to each one because the 675M is just a rebrand and there is no hardware difference.)
    • Intel 6300 Nic
    • Two WD hard drives (Total 1.5 TB)
    • 1080p display
    • USB 3.0 ports
    • Everything else that came standard with it
The whole thing is in really good condition too (a few minor marks and a tiny scratches) except one small crack in the plastic border that surrounds the keyboard, but it's barely noticeable. I still have everything that came with it, install discs, the little hat, the mouse pad, all the boxes and documentation. The SLI bridge was faulty once within the first few months but Dell fixed it and I haven't had any problems since, and I have the stickers and documentation to prove they're the ones that fixed it too.

Basically the whole computer is almost like-new and I paid a little over $ 3,000 CAD for it when I bought it, only a few years ago. It still plays games fine on ultra/high and it's still a very relevant laptop performance-wise.

Do any of you know what I could sell this thing for? I was thinking something along the lines of $1,500 CAD?
Is that too high, too low?

    Is anyone here interested :)

Thank you for the help guys. I really appreciate it.

Why don't you just update your video cards to like a 780m..then you are good to go! :)

I'm getting something smaller and more portable for taking with me, and putting the money I get from selling this beast toward a desktop.
Nice signature, by the way :)

    That's around $1300 CAD
    Okay, thank you.

Just to get an idea of the market difference, how much did you pay for your system new?

    Thanks man :)

For just the system, when I bought it back in March 2012, I payed around $3200. But then i bought a 3 year warranty so it came out to $3800 in the end. I did upgrade from 8gb to 16gb ram along the way, which was minimal $..maybe around $50.

    Alright, thank you very much.

If anyone else can chime in on how much they think this is worth or is interested in buying let me know :)
