    Hello

    i remember something along the like that the R2 cpu Fans where able to push 11CFM @ same voltage compared to 5CFM on the Alienware 18 oem fans?

    is that true ?

    wuold the R2 fan fit in the AW18 ? i think cable is much shorter ... but i can make longer cable no problem so would it physicaly fit inside the AW18 ?

    Yes, I remember seeing a thread in this forum, saying that it can fit. You can ask Mr.Fox I guess, it fits, although I guess he said that the current AW18 stock fan is able to push quite an amount of air so its good enough.

    I am actually thinking of swapping since the CFM is double.

    i have found that atleast gpu fans on m18x r1 r2 are way better than on a18 in one thing: they dont make high pitched distracting noise when they spin.

    a18 has both identical fans for gpus which can be replaced by left m18x r1 r2 fan and yes, cpu fan does fit in too.

    Does anyone here happen to have an extension cable we can try connecting to the M18X's fan to get to the 18's CPU fan pinout?

    I can't seem to find any (only PWM cables for 12V fans are all I see :()
