Hey guys i am new to this forum. I currentyl have a alienware 18. The specs are as follow:

    Cpu: 4910 mq
    Graphic cards: 970msli
    256G SSD
    16G RAM

The problem is, one of my graphic card is not working, and dell had replaced it several times but still failed to fix it. They now decide they have to replace the whole system, and i was told the replacement will be a new alienware 17 r4. Just wondering what specs should i ask for the alienware 17?

I think 1070 is better than my 970msli, however, i read some threads here and found out the new alienware 17 has serious throttling problems. Should i ask for a 1080 instead?

Any help would be appreciated :) thank you guys
