What happened to the Dolby Plus drivers?

I recently brought my system back to its factory install state, correctly installing all drivers from the Dell site.

What I have noticed is there there is no longer a sound driver that installs Dolby Digital Plus that the system came with.

I found a youtube video that shows how to install it again, and it works, but after reboot, the tray icon is gone, even though I turned the tray icon on in Settings.

Is anyone experiencing crashes in games due to sound problems?
Me in particular, I'm having issues with World of Tanks giving my sound issues. Sometimes there is a "crackling" where the sound cuts out or is intermittent, then comes back again. Sometimes this also happens and then the game freezes and crashes.

Is this because I have missing or outdated sound drivers? What should I do?

Could go to the Dolby site for the driver probably, can't verify on my phone atm.

Worse comes to worse you could get a USB dac for audio
