I flashed to the svl7 vbios, and was greeted to no display/black screen. taking out the RAM gives 2 beeps, but hotswapping after it reboots does not fix the problem. It just stays on the black screen, AlienFX on, wifi light on. That's it.

If your using pure UEFI you can use the new NVFLASH. Just look through the read me file for the instructions, it takes less than 2 min to flash card. I've flashed my cards back to the original vbios a couple of times. Here is the thread where you can find the link to the new NVFlash. The discussion is between 980m users but maybe you can use it.

Hopefully you kept a copy of your original vbios. Good luck.

No go. Something is REALLY screwed on these cards. I put them in the M18x R2 and the LCD would just show strange lines, even with SG enabled in the BIOS. Popped in the 7970M setup back in, and booted up no problem. I'm just going to wait on the Alienware 18 for a while.....and then give Dell another call. Between 2 failed 580Ms, and two sets of dead/dying SLI 780Ms, I've had some awful luck with nVidia. AMD has only failed me once with a dead 7970M (knock on wood).
