    hey there NBR,

so i repasted my Alienware 18 with Liquid Ultra after that i reassembled everything back together
    only to see i got 7 Beeps ( CPU Fail ) ?

so i Disassembled back my laptop to check if the CPU is seated correctly or any loose cables
now it doesn't power up at all..

CPU fail ? MotherBoard fail ? i was so stupid for doing this :/

Have you tried booting off integrated graphics with one memory stick? Drained/disconnected cmos battery to reset bios? Do you have another cpu you could test with? Narrow down the possibilities calmly step by step. Your application looks fairly clean-unlikely you fried something granted you followed proper procedure.

you probably fried the motherboard or CPU while applying Liquid Ultra as it is very dangerous, any accidentally dropped Liquid Ultra on other components will fry them.

does anyone know what the minimum components is to start up the motherboard from Alienware 18 ?
also if the CPU is broken or fried does that makes the laptop not start up ?

i really don't know what to do anymore disassembled & reassembled already 5 times today..
also did when you suggested inasense nothing..

it's really weird the first time i reassembled the laptop it gave me 7 beeps
    and after nothing... DEAD

    pffft :(

I put an aftermarket CPU cooler on a PC once and didnt notice the cooler had a plastic film protecting the thermal paste. PC never even made it to Windows and BSOD occured. CPU was toast. I felt so sick. If you spill and of that liquid into the CPU base or socket its probably ruined it. Sorry for your loss. Hopefully its just the CPU and not the motherboard or both.

Minimum hardware necessary to successfully boot into bios is one stick of ram, a functional CPU with integrated graphics, and a functional motherboard. If your cpu isn't functional, the system will not start.

If you have it apart can you post close up photos of the mothrrboard area where the cpu installs?

When that happens to me that mean I did not properly reconnect the power strips, and that its loose. I have gotten the no power for my AW18, on many occasions after I've worked on it. It always boiled down to the fact that I did not properly reconnect one of the strips that are located underneath the dvd player. One of those three strips is for the power! Before you drive yourself crazy check to ensure that those strips under the dvd player are connected properly.

    Good Luck

Clean off CPU and any area that looks suspicious with alcohol. After that, check and make sure every ribbon cable is PERFECT. Just don't use CLU. Go with GELID or that new better Kryonaut paste.

    @SMOKE_SKULL here are the pictures

the only thing i can do now is what you suggest @Zero989 take of the CLU and repaste it with normal paste. if that doesn't work i will buy another motherboard and proccesor

as for loose cables ive checked double checked and re-checked everything 10 X times everything is correct attached to the motherboard and the keyboard panel.

i wanted to spend my money with Double SLI 980m not a new motherboard and proccesor.
    sad holidays for me indeed.

I kinda expected to see some extra thermal paste spill on the cpu socket or mobo but thats not the case. What happened to you really sucks. I would try a known good cpu first, then a mobo. You are going to have to carefully drill whats left of the screw head off. Once the head is off you can remove the board and then use pliers or vise grips to remove whats left of the screw. If it just wont come out then cut it off flush and forget about it.

so i cleaned all the CLU with alcohol and repasted with MX-4, and re-checked all the cables again
    still nothing.

but Today when i connected My coolingpad to the Alienware, the coolingpad start giving light and start spinning ? does this mean its not the motherboard ? i am so confused really pff

The other thing I am thinking that may have happened is you put one of the long screws into where a short screw hole and it shorted out the motherboard. If that is the case then you will need a motherboard. If you look carefully at the motherboard where the screws mount, maybe you will see a burn spot to assist in your diagnosis.

he's right same thing apend to me ... especialy if you plug usb thing and it powers up ... it mean that there is a cable near the cd drive that is not connected properly or damaged./ ( mine became damaged dell replaced it under warranty)

and when you remove battery and stuff and replace everything and power it on laptop will always make long beeps ... you need to power it down pressing power for 10 seconds and power it up again.
