The macro keys light up but don't work when I press the them, I have already uninstalled/reinstalled AW command center. The macro buttons on the top right (above number pad) function properly. Any suggestions?

Here is how you set them up.

That said, if you have them set properly and they still don't work we could replace them under warranty.

The OP sent me a PM looking for suggestions. I think he found one of the ribbon cables was not connected and, as far as I know, the problem is now solved for him.

Are the macro key supposed to react to the lighting the same as the rest of the keyboard? Such as, when I "go dark" or "dim the lighting zones" everything except the left-hand macro keys goes dark. And the status zones. Just not sure and noticing that has accompanied a different, more annoying problem that I don't think belongs here. :)

Right-click on the AlienFX Alien head icon in the system tray and be sure there are no check marks on the menu items. If there are, it can cause behavior like that. If there are no check marks, something is wrong and you might want to uninstall AlienFX, do a power drain, then reinstall it.

And that is the whole Command Center? or is there specific Programs that just get controlled/displayed through the Command Center?

So, everything is unchecked. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Command Center. They go dark when I ask them to, are they supposed to dim when I say "dim the lighting zones?" Because, they don't but, everything else does. I just noticed, I didn't do a power drain. I will try that next.

My 18 functions the same way, the left macro keys on th 18 stay on during sleep and go dark. But my buttons do work when pressed.

Right click the Alienhead on the taskbar, and untick "Keep Status Zones On During Go Dark". Any light will go off during go dark now.
