I'm having some very worrying issues with my machine.

First when I start the computer after 20 seconds or so it will freeze up and the fans will kick in like crazy for a few seconds then its back to normal again.

Secondly and more worrying is with more frequency windows explorer is not working properly and I am unable to view files and folders.

So I f I click on this pc in explorer nothing comes up.

If I restart my computer this tends to stop happening, but it has started happening with more and more frequency, I have run virus scans but nothing has come up.

If someone could help with this that would be great.

The machine is new? I would not think twice to return it and ask for a new one.

The support assist agent uninstallation should help with the fans issue. About the random crashes of the explorer... Have you tried checking the HDD for errors?

I ended up just refreshing Windows, haven't had any issues since, but managed to delete a load of my save games that were saved the program files which I didn't know about. And also lost my Utorrent que, which made me cry as I had to add all of my 500 odd torrents again.

So kinda sucked but I know for next time what I need to back up if it happens again.

Tried the Dell system test, but wouldn't complete.
