Hey guys bit of a long post but bear with me, I am just curious if anyone else has experienced anything this bad from dell. I placed an order on the 1st of February, for an AW 18 all base config except for ram (would have gotten 980m's but they didnt have any stock at that time and time was an issue for me) which I upgraded to 16gb. So I tell my sales agent while I am ordering the computer has to arrive to my house by the 21st of Feb as I will be leaving for work for almost two months. He assures me that it will be delivered by the EDD of Feb 19th.

As the days go by I email him wondering whats taking so long to have it built, knowing this is the only way to expedite the process as I am in Canada and they only offer ground shipping. He responds to my email telling me that Alienware ships by air in Canada now. Know that this wasnt always the case I email him back to make sure and he again reiterates that it will be shipped by air.

Anyways, the EDD was updated to the 26th which is too late so I called Customer Care on Tuesday to explain the situation and they told me they would request for it to be air shipped. Fast forward to today and I get a call from Purolator notifying me that it has been shipped by ground meaning it will not be here by the 21st despite the agent at customer care telling me it would be shipped by ground.

Sorry for the long post, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this **** at Dell? I have the original emails of the sales agent assuring me it would be shipped by air.

They have limited stock of this and honestly don't get it.. Not worth the warranty issues you'll have with Dell.. Someone with a busted 980M SLI machine was offered a R9 290MX machine as a replacement.. it's a joke... Get the Clevo p870DM which works perfectly with 980M SLI tbh!

Cancel and buy a Eurocom or Clevo. When it finally shows up then just ship it back.
