Hi, is it possible to get 2x 870m in SLI working without the SLI cable? One of my 2 870m is without the SLI Connector

Both must be SLI capable cards. A cable is required to sync cards for SLI in the Alienware 18.

Ok, because I heard something about that a cable or SLI Bridge is only needed in the very past.

You will definitely need an SLI cable with the AW 18 to get Nvidia SLI up and running. You can use the second card for physics I believe without an SLI cable.
