Doubt. Rare care, firepro version of the RX 480 which doesn't support lvds and is only ~20% faster than the 980M so there is no appeal to me

    That is the card.

I didn't have to modify the heat sink. I use the AMD 100 Watt stock heat sink.

I just ran it stock. What software to OC if it's available ?

Man that’s weaker than a 980M, disappointing but thanks for testing! Confirmed no lvds support yes?

    lvds support ? meaning ?

It doesn't run PEG if thats what you are asking. It runs in SG.

For some reason , When I apply the button after I change the clocks , it reverts back to stock.

I been waiting to buy the WX7100 for my Alienware m17x R4, does your card work with LVDS display or eDP display??
I got the eDP cable I just need the monitor, otherwise it came with LVDS when I bought it used.

If you mean if it work on the m18x r2 display , yes. The laptop is put in SG mode for the card to run. In your position , you probably can run peg if you have the 120hz display.

If I come across a deal on this card again, I'll PM ya.

Check Taobao I found deals there on WX 7100 for 150~ pounds before, of course you NEED to use agents to buy them, google taobao agent sites.
You can also buy genuine Rx 480 and 580 MXM cards on Taobao, so no need for vBIOS flash, cards are all the same anyway so whichever is cheaper they just have different vBIOS to correspond to different TDP use I think the only difference is that some are made to dell specifications and others are Geocube (Gigabyte) those are usually better as they work in more machines except for smelly Clevo hence why I got rid of it, no more Clevo!

well, the dell one should be better I think.
normaly all the nvidia cards made for dell was working in my GT60.
the only one that was not working dell was 8970m.

if I can get one for 200 I think ill end up going this route instead. 1070 is better for sure but I like AMD, even on lower end older stuff its just easier to tweak.

    Thanks for sharing!

I'm strapped for cash for a while yet so I wouldn't be able to commit to anything at the moment.

Would be fun to see compatibility though

You think it's possible to run AMD and Nvidia in the same system?
