It only runs about a minute on the battery and suddenly shuts down. Battery is charged to 100%. Power button light flashes and first screen on reboot says battery low. I go into the bios and is says battery is fine. Computer runs 100% fine with or without the battery. Just wont run on battery only. I have a brand new battery and thats not the problem. Anyone have a motherboard schematic so I can trace the issue or know of a solution? I never used the battery since I have owned it, just used as desktop replacement with the battery removed. It makes a high pitch squeal for a second as its shutting down.

Do you have heavy overclock in BIOS or heavily OCed GPUs?

If you set multiplier high then battery can not give enough power for cpu and gpus

Its just got the factory cpu overclock level 1. I have never messed with bios settings. I bought used and the guy gave me a new battery with it. He said windows said there was something wrong with battery level. I took out battery and used as desktop replacement. Never tried yhe batterys until now. I guess this might be why the guy was anxious to sell. It sounds like a connection is losing contact once it gets hot. Bad solder joint perhaps.

Can anyone confirm if the powerjack is tight or loose in the hole? Mine wobbles around when its plugged in, not sure if its supposed to be tight. My Inspiron 7559 is tight.

If it woobles around, propably somthing is messed up. Either the port on the laptops is loose, or the jack is busted.

20amps going through a loose connenction, can cause all sorts of problems.

Also, connection must be tight at all times.

Mine does the same thing - Bios test says battery is fine but it stuffed. I am of the opinion that the Bios test doesn't work properly.

Bios test only performs a test in a small amount of time. Also battery wear level is important to test I think. Mine says it has 26,8 % wear, but bios says its ok.

When in normal operation and possibly a high amp load, connection breaks due to heat and poor contact. Try and see the plug when battery starts behaving abnormal.
