nvidia pulled the driver because it was garbage. They did release a new beta driver though.

As I know, lot of reports about failed setup of this driver version and BSODs while installation is in progress is from users with multiple monitors (>1 external monitor).
Workaround is temporary disconnect your monitors (leave only one), install driver and reconnect monitors.
Or rollback to previous version and wait for fix from Nvidia.

the instructions on TechInferno specifically state prema 2.0 has to be installed prior to driver, mine wouldn't even install with prema 1.1.1

driver works great from the games that i tested it with, so does the vbios

what did you mean by "pulled for obvious reasons" ?

It's a broken driver. You also misread what I wrote. It works with stock vBIOS or prema 2.0. Prema 1.1.1 was an issue for anything after 359.06

There is no working Vbios for the Alienware 18 from prema V2. the clevo Vbios V2 will not work with second card as it does not spin the fan.

So we still have to wait on prema to bring out a V2 Vbios for the Alienware 18

that makes no sense, at all. The stock voltage is 1.00V, prema bios is 1.067V.

Im using 362.00 Driver from Nvidia (modded by J95) with Prema vbios v2 (clevo) and all is working fine. I cant say if the second fan is working with v2, because is use hwinfo anyway.
