No released vBIOS for undervolt, there is an internal prema vBIOS that he chooses to distribute to certain people

This. Well, I know some of the mods aren't going to like what I'm going to say here, but I feel a bit jaded with Prema. I am incredibly grateful for Prema's presence on this scene, without him and his talent we wouldn't have some of the awesome vbios at our disposal. BUT, this was my experience with Prema, having just installed 980M and looking to get rid of the ridiculous throttling I eventually found his vbios and out of appreciation I donated $10 to him, with no expectation, I just wanted to say thanks. $10 for me was a good bit of change as I was in-between jobs and living out of my car (SF Bay area where there is rampant inequality and homelessness, $15 an hour is a joke). A few weeks later, having realized that yes I love the performance of his vbios, I realized that the 120W 680M heat-sink simply wasn't up to the task and having discovered that he did indeed have an undervolted vbios floating around, I PM'ed him and asked for it. He said he was busy and that he might get around to it. After two weeks of no reply and trying to deal with 85C load temps I PM'ed again with a frustrated tone, I told him that I donated to him etc. and instead of just giving me the stupid vbios he refunded the $10.

I mean, really though, this is a dying platform with a shrinking user-base, so what if an undervolted M18x R2 980M vbios makes it into the wild?

So yeah, Prema's work is awesome, I just question the point of withholding a vbios for 980M on the M18x R2 at this point. Youre not going to make any money and youre not at liability risk of damaging hardware as the 980M isn't available from Dell and no-one here still has a warranty.

I also wound up getting banned over on TechInferno in the process of trying to obtain the vbios I originally needed as they have an "innovative" "you can't download anything until you have 50 posts" paywall scheme going on over there.

    Not a fun experience.
